Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that next year is very profitable for all. So, closed out 2008 and you are probably wondering how I did. As you know, I turned off the EA a couple days ago and have been riding out the open trades. Had four left to work with and closed them out today and then shut down. My overall impressions. This EA can make money. You have to deal with seeing trades go deep into DD and there are some topics on this forum that are discussing possible ideas to minimize those. During December I manually closed out several trades (a few going back to October) that went deep and didn’t appear that they would recover. I did an analysis of those trades and determined that if I had let them go until today I would have lost an additional $1,200 plus would not have made the money on the subsequent trading those currencies did after I closed the big DDs. My first week was a killer (I started the end of Oct just days before we really got hit hard in a trend change) Since then my equity has done pretty good. Below is a month end since inception detail of my equity balance. A 40% growth in Nov and a 31% growth in Dec – it was that 40% loss in the last week of Oct that hurt so bad. If I had started on 1 November (just over a week later than I did), and had the same performance, I would have had an 86% growth in equity!!
Will definitely continue investing with this EA as it is showing lots of promise.
